Background

Due to abnormal climate caused by climate changes, industrialization and urbanization, an innovation countermeasure on the prevention of backflow of currents, flooding and drainage of inner basin is demanded to prevent flooding damage in the low basin area and shore area.

Comparison

Passive floodgate, which solves the problems of existing floodgates, is operated unmanned and powerless by natural energy (buoyancy) according to the rise and fall of water surface level that it is effective in flood damage prevention through rapid backflow prevention and drainage of inner basin and can respond to climate changes immediately as well.
